“I think of photography like therapy.”
— Harry Gruyaert
Photography has come into my life more than once, but I didn’t take it seriously until college when I needed an elective. I signed up for a black-and-white film class, bought a cheap Nikon SLR, and completely lost control of my wallet. I’ve stuck with Nikon ever since; these days I shoot with a D750.
Photography lets me slow down in a hectic world. It’s therapy — when it’s just me and my camera, everything else melts away. I get to look closely at the world and notice the small details that otherwise pass by.
I’m fortunate to work with great people here in Oklahoma—models, fellow photographers, families, and business owners—so I never run out of places or things to shoot when time allows. I also collect antique cameras and gear; studying photographic history and shooting with vintage equipment has added a rich layer to my work and perspective.
I shoot headshots, events, children and families, products, and landscapes. I’d love to capture moments for you that you can cherish for years to come. Send a message and let’s make some memories.
